I’ve been at this weight loss mission for quite some time now - so after watching an episode of Dr. Oz, I have decided to try the Green Coffee Bean pill. Now there are several important things to look out for when purchasing these pills. It must say Svetol and there are a few other things to look out for. Here is a link for you to watch for yourself: Dr. Oz “Green Coffee Bean”
I started taking it on Monday and I’ve lost 2 lbs already. I’m still watching what I eat, like I’ve been doing for months now. I think its working. I’ll check in next week for an update :)
Current weight 171.6
Yeah…so I am back!! Felt bad neglecting this site so here I am. I’m going to continue my weight loss quest and I will be using this site as a journal. I am still very active at Living Life 2 Its Fullest, so if you have time, stop by there. Lots of random things to read about :)
So, here it is-the middle of April and I’m still trying to shed 50 lbs of fat before the summer. I’m currently at 174. 2 weeks ago I was down to 170, but I’m up again. I’ve been watching what I eat and my calorie intake - so lets see how I manage.
I’ll be back by Friday with a new pic of myself - need to see the before & after pics!
So, I have decided to stop posting here on Tumblr. It’s been great, but I’ve been a lot more active on blogger, so my fitness and dieting posts will be added to my blog:

Hope you continue to follow my weight loss journey from the new site. :)
So….today was my weekly weigh in and I’m happy to report that I have lost 1.3 lbs!!! It’s not much, but its better than nothing-which is what I’ve seen for the past few months! Besides, from all of the reading I’ve done on the subject, I have learned that the healthiest way to lose weight is 1-2 pounds a week…..Well, I’m on track :D
Since last week I’ve increased the amount of water I drink. I’ve also been cooking, so we’ve avoided junk food! My meals are normal, I’m not doing any crazy dieting, just trying to eat healthier and not over eat certain foods.
Example of a typical day:
First thing in the A.M.:Bottle of water, a bowl of cereal with whole milk
Snack: Fruit
Lunch: Bottle of water, salad or sandwich (sometimes both)
Snack: anything
Dinner: Baked potato, chicken (maybe a veggie in there, LOL)
My lunch and breakfast are more or less the same, but dinner is different everyday! I make rice, pasta, potatoes(different ways) and then some kind of protein (chicken/steak). This way we won’t get tired of eating the same stuff everyday. Oh & we still have our pizza on the weekend…..my family has had a hard time adjusting to this but they are getting there. I am the cook, after all, so if you want to eat, you will have to eat what I make! The only problem I’m having is getting them to eat asparagus, even my husband is being difficult here! I need to keep looking for a recipe that they’ll like! My daughter is the funniest….since I’m using a lot more veggies and herbs, everytime she sees it on her plate, she hands it back to me and says, “Take off all the green stuff please.” I should be firmer but I can’t help but laugh :)
Now up until today, I haven’t really worked out. I admit to slacking off big time, but I’m so excited that something is finally happening, that I jogged for 30 minutes! I hope to gradually increase my time but for now I am happy with my 30 minutes! I also got in some crunches, need to desperately work on my belly!
Until, next time…..bye!!!
Today I got my new Fitness magazine & as I was reading through it, I came across a small note regarding Fat-Talk. As I read, I could relate to the quotes and I’m sure many women can too. Everytime I put something on, especially in the summer, I think to myself, “I look fat” or “I’ve gained weight”. I’m always struggling to find the easiest solution to lose weight so I can return to my pre-children weight of 120 lbs. Not once have I ever said that I need to change my eating habits and exercise to get healthier-its always been to lose weight & look good in my clothes!
Well, this is something that the majority of women struggle with. We are never happy with the way we look. This section, Live Healthy, was encouraging people to go over to endfattalk.org, so I did. This site is geared to changing the way women view themselves. According to a study done by Harvard University in 2004 & 2005, only 2% of women considered themselves beautiful. That’s terrible!
I am now determined to look at my weight-loss goals as a goal for a healthier life! Yes, I want to look good in a bikini but being 120lbs may not be the way. I have been eating better for a while now. I have increased my veggie & fruit consumption & tried to keep the carbs at a minimum…..now I just have to get moving in the workout department….all in the name of HEALTH!!

Hmmmm….its been over 3 weeks since I’ve posted any updates & that’s because I have slacked off again!! It is amazing that I can’t stick to a plan!! Am I really that lazy!?! Wow!!!
Well, I’m unemployed again so I shouldn’t have any excuses now. I am actively looking for a new job, but I’m sure it won’t take me all day. I’m sure I can take out an hour to work out & as far as my eating….well, that needs some adjusting too. Not just for me, but for my hubby’s health too! He was recently diagnosed with having a fatty liver, and he knows that he has to lose weight so now I’m looking for ideas. We need to increase our veggie consumption and lower our carbs…..I just have no idea how to add veggies into our meals.
We’ve never been big on vegetables…the only ones we’ve ever eaten have been carrots, corn and on occasion I’ll have celery as a snack. So now I will be searching my recipe collection in search of ideas!
Any healthy recipe or cooking tips will be greatly appreciated :)
So I made it through day 2, week 1 of Jillian Michaels: Ripped in 30!!! Today I didn’t feel like puking….yay!!! Don’t think I wasn’t in pain, I definitely was but I got through it!!! I was drenched in sweat, my arms, abdomen & legs are super sore but I am very happy that I did it!!
I also decided to try out one of my Mother’s Day gifts :) My son bought me Zumba Fitness Rush for Xbox Kinect. So after my 25 minutes with Jillian, I took a short class of Zumba & it was awesome!!!

If you love Zumba, you should definitely give this a try. It’s great there are many more options. I only tried the short class 1-there were several. You also have the option of doing a full class or single song, as well as learning the steps before taking the class. Only 1 short class & I already love it. I am definitely going to try to do this daily, along with Ripped in 30!
Now, I’m feeling very refreshed after my shower…..so time to watch NCIS with my hubby & relax!!!
